Poker

The game of Poker involves two types of hands: high and low hands. High hands are determined by the cards in the hand and the player with the highest card of a certain suit is awarded the odd chip. High hands are determined by the cards in the hand, and low hands are determined by the cards in the low hand. Each hand is valued separately. During the course of a game, it is important to remember that the higher the hand, the higher the pot is.

When a hand is higher than another person’s, it is the winner. There are normally six or eight players. The player with the highest hand wins the entire pot. If a tie occurs, the players must deal with each other again. During the next phase of the game, the initial dealer will cut and shuffle the deck again. This process will advance the game. The goal of the game is to win the pot, which is equal to the sum of all the money bet by all players in the hand.

Players are almost always supplied with poker chips. A game involving seven or more players should have poker chips available for every player. In general, a white chip is the lowest-value chip. A red chip is worth five whites, and a blue chip is worth two, four, or five reds. Players “buy in” by buying chips. In most games, each player is required to buy in equal amounts of chips. This can vary between different games, but is typically required in large groups.
